TLDR: It was a pretty casual restaurant with decent service. The food portions were relatively small, but we also got a 'sampling' of one of their wines, which was nice. For $15, it's not too expensive, but you won't be getting anything rememberable from it. See full res pictures here.
Blue Stove is at the Nordstrom on Third Street, so it was pretty easy to find. We just parked in the structure nearby and walked over. The restaurant was on the third floor, which wasn't too difficult to find. We walked into the restaurant and it was pretty empty. I saw I think about 2 or 3 tables with people, but the rest of the room was empty. With 4 stars on Yelp and a $15 DineLA price point, I would have thought there would've been more people at noon.
Tuan, Jimmy, Alex, and I got a booth, and we gave our orders to the server not too long after. Tuan went for the Spicy Tuna w/ Wonton Crisps, Jimmy went for the Guacamole and Goat Cheese Crostinis, and Alex and I went for the Szachuan Lettuce Cups. The prefixe menu also included a 2oz sample of a win, so we each got our own. I was the only one who got the white.
We got bread and our wines, and eventually our appetizers. They relatively small, but I felt they were enough to start me off. The food wasn't anything special, but it wasn't terrible either.
